Fan Art: Basics

What is Fan Art?

Do you remember how we all started creating Arts and Crafts as a child?

All of us began creating "Art" with activities such as:

• Finger Painting
• Scribbling
• Doodling
• Stamping
• Coloring 
• Copying

However what is Fan Art?

Based on purely observation and partially from the Urban Dictionary and Wikipedia...
Fan Art is another and an equally popular form of fan based labor .

A fan would create art using the characters from their favorite Movies, Games Comics/Graphic Novels, Anime or even Novels.

Some would strive to completely imitate the style of the original artist's work while others tend to eventually develop their own styles. 

 Either way, most fans would always add disclaimers to show respect to the original artists. 

Hence this concludes my view of What Fan Art is.

Interests

I understand that it's pretty late for me to post this intro page considering how long it has been since I created this blog. 

However, I do believe in New Beginnings and the potential that this blog could still has. Especially considering that some of the paintings I posted on here are either lost or torn by now. Either way, I was not going to allow this page to waste, considering what meager effort I put into it years ago. 

This blog first began as a somewhat side 'storage' space where I post and share my art works which mainly consisted of Fan Art. 

Back then I was super obsessed with the Playstation video games Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry. 

Prior to that however, I had been obsessed with Anime and Manga such as:

• SailorMoon
• Dragon Ball
• Card Captor Sakura
• Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X)
• 3x3 Eyes 
• Detective Conan
• Fushigi Yuugi 
• Ayashi No Ceres

Honestly speaking, I had no idea what Fan Art truly was. I mainly referred to my artworks as "Drawings". Unknowingly so, I was doing Fan Art all along from as young as 8 years old. Amazing isn't it?

To cut along story short, fan art or just to refer to it plainly as ART was something I really enjoyed. Especially if it involved characters which I liked or preferred couples from Games, Anime, Manga, Cartoons even Movies.
